Addis Ababa Airport Terminal 2

Addis Ababa Airport Terminal 2 just hosts international flights and is the largest airport terminal in Africa, capable to handle 22 million passengers a year. 

It has been recently upgraded and equipped with modern services and amenities such as automated bag drops, e-gats, self-check-in kiosks, baggage handling, among others.

Transport between terminals

You can transfer to Terminal 1 by the walkthrough that connects both buildings.

A free shuttle service is available.

Levels

Addis Ababa Airport Terminal 2 is a three level building.

Given the latest updates, Terminal 2 has a new check-in hall with elevated motorway, more international gates and more check-in and immigration counters. 

It counts with 28 check-in counters and 7 airline gates.

Within the terminal there’s a shopping mall, restaurants and a parking garage beneath.

On-airport hotel

The new five-star luxury hotel (Skylight Hotel) located adjacent to Addis Ababa Terminal 2 has 373 rooms including 27 presidential and executive suites, four restaurants and a conference and banquet hall able to handle 2,000 persons.
