Addis Ababa Airport Terminal 2

Addis Ababa Airport Terminal 2, which was opened in 2003 with a new design, just hosts international flights. It is one of the largest airport terminals of Africa.

Transport between terminals

You can transfer to Terminal 1 by the walkthrough that connects both buildings. A free shuttle service is available.


Addis Ababa Airport Terminal 2 is a three level building. Within the building you can find a shopping mall, restaurants and also it has its own parking garage.

It counts with 28 check-in counters and 7 airline gates. 

Airline Lounges: Addis Ababa Airport has three airline lounges for their customers:

- Cloud Nine Lounge: The exclusive lounge for Cloud Nine travellers. It offers several amenities as wireless connection and computers.

- Gold Lounge: To be used by Star Alliance gold members, it is located in front of the fast track and the boarding gates.

- Shebamiles Lounge: Exclusive for Ethiopian Airways silver members. It is located nearby the security entrance of gates 4 to 8.
